And the winner is...

ME!!
Yes, that's right.

Two days in a row I was a winner of a couple of giveaways from two different blogging sisters!
First off, sweet Mindy who writes at A Dandelion Diary
had a whole week of fun giveaway items and I won one of them...

...a mini notebook, some colorful calendar clips and fun gel pens.
I always loved getting my new school supplies when I was a kid so I was excited :)
~
Next, I received an email from Michele over at The Nest at Finch Rest blog.
She was giving away a lovely teacup and creamer set and I threw my hat in the ring.
Funny thing is, I almost forgot I had done so with all that I had going on.
I was thrilled when I received her email telling me I was the winner!

It really is a beautiful set, don't you think?
And I realized when I put it in my cabinet that I had something that matched it...
...well, almost.

Years and years ago, my MIL gave me this vintage china toothpick holder.
If you removed the little violet flowers, it's a perfect match!

Thank you both, Mindy and Michele!!

So anyway, I'm off to the beach in a couple of days.
Did I tell you how excited I am?
You can bet you'll hear (and see) all about it a little later:)
Tootles!

Feelin' Quite Blessed

Good morning, friends!

Well, the anticipation has now been replaced with squeals of delight!
When the doorbell rang yesterday while I was at home on my lunch hour,
it was the mailman bringing a package to the door that was a little too big for the mailbox.
When my hubby handed it to me, I knew right away who the sender was.

Who else do you know who would make sure that the outside was just as pretty as the inside?

Even the tape on the wrapping paper was the cutest ever!

Some of you may remember that I was the winner of Stephanie's last giveaway,
and I was beyond thrilled when I found out!
I can't imagine anyone reading this not knowing who she is...
...but just in case, she writes a lovely, inspirational blog at The Enchanting Rose...
...precious blog, precious young woman of God.
~
I could hardly wait to dig into all of this loveliness!

The box contained so many beautiful things...
...a lovely apron (which is all covered up here...I'll model it later),

.
..a matching potholder and refrigerator magnet...

...these adorable teacup/mug mats...

...eight absolutely gorgeous gift tags, each one quite unique...

...and this precious card.
~
I was in awe of the lovely personal touches and embellishments on everything.
She had posted photos of her giveaway items...we all saw them,
and even though Stephanie is a wonderful photographer,
seeing them up close and personal was another thing all together!
~
So pretend that I am tall and thin and tell me how you like my new apron...
...does June Cleaver come to mind?
No???

Oh...that's right, I forgot my pearls!

It will make a colorful addition here...

...and the darling teacup/mug mat is ready for my morning coffee.
(I used it this morning!)
~
You know, I feel like we really do connect with each other through our blogs...
and most of us will probably never have the opportunity to meet face to face.
(although I think we need to find a central location and have a BIG blogger party)
I am very thankful to have won this lovely giveaway...not just to say that I won it,
but because the lovely hands that made these things belong to a precious Sister in Christ...
...and they are blessed by the Father.

So therefore, I'm feelin' quite blessed myself!

Good friends are like stars...
you don't always see them but you know they're always there.

A Very Special Delivery

A few weeks ago, Theresa...you know, the TexWisGirl, had a giveaway.
Like many of you, I entered just knowing I wouldn't win it...
...I never win anything....but hey, why not give it shot, right?
~
Well, you could have knocked me over with a feather when she announced the winner!
~
It came yesterday.
The mailman delivered it to my door and left it on my front stoop...
...while I was working.

IN. THE. RAIN!

I found it this morning...the package, soaking wet.
I held my breath as I opened it, praying all the while that the rain hadn't penetrated.
Thank the Lord, it was dry inside!

I almost cried...it was so beautiful!
And the card she made that accompanied it was just breathtaking...

...suitable for framing, all by itself (which I plan to do).
Look at the intricate detail of the hummingbird...so beautiful!

But that wasn't all.
Included inside the card was a sweet note and these...

...two four-leaf-clovers from her own yard!

I feel so blessed to have been chosen as the winner of this beautiful gift...

...from this lovely, talented lady.

Thank you Theresa, I will cherish this!

Blessings,
