Daddy's Hands...the Softer Side of Sandpaper

It has been thirteen years since he passed away.
It just doesn't seem possible.
~
Several times I have shared some things about my mom who passed in 2010,
but I have not posted anything about my dad on this blog.
So in honor of Father's Day, I would like to share a link from my other blog,
Memories from my Childhood...and other blessings.

  11. OK, tearing up here. Such a sweet post, and it sounds like your daddy was a precious man. This was my second Father's Day without my dad. I miss him, but am so thankful that because of Jesus, I'll see him again one day!

One of my grandfathers was a carpenter. And he had rough, gnarled hands from all those years of manual labor. When I would look at his hands, especially when he occasionally preached at his little country church, I always thought of Jesus.

    GOD BLESS!
