God will instruct me and teach me in the way I should go. He will guide me with His eye.
Psalm 32:8
I follow Jesus so I shall not walk in darkness, but I have the light of life.
John 8:12
I trust in the Lord with all my heart and lean not on my own understanding. In all my ways I acknowledge Him and He directs my paths.

Beautiful, soft images. So peaceful and perfect with the scripture you selected. Love the Gaithers. I lived in Ohio 14 years with my late husband. Now remarried and living in Oregon. Quite a long way from the Midwest. God bless you. ~ Nancy
ReplyDeleteThank you, Nancy. I hope you have a blessed week :)
DeleteBeautiful and reassuring series.

DeleteHi Debby! I love the way you have all misty photos, paired with depending on the Lord to be the eyes, and the way to the path. So inventive. Love it!
ReplyDeleteCeil
Ceil, when I got up yesterday morning, there was the heavy fog that lasted most of the morning. I went out take photos...of course :) ...really great inspiration!
DeleteWhat interesting photographs. I'm so thankful for the leading of God. Daily!

ReplyDeleteSo glad you were encouraged...thank you for stopping by!
DeleteSo beautiful. I especially love the verse that talks about God guiding me with His eyes.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Barbie...me too :)
DeleteSuch beautiful shots. I love the fog that comes with fall temps, but the snow can stay away as long as possible!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Anita...the fog was so thick here on Saturday morning so I went out to "play" in it...lol. I will be pretty excited about the snow IF we get any...I'm sure you get more than your share :)
DeleteThe first thing that came to my mind was the lyrics to that beautiful hymn:
ReplyDeleteHe leadeth me: O blessed thought!
O words with heavenly comfort fraught!
Whate'er I do, where'er I be,
still 'tis God's hand that leadeth me.
Refrain:
He leadeth me, he leadeth me,
by his own hand he leadeth me;
his faithful follower I would be,
for by his hand he leadeth me.
Sometimes mid scenes of deepest gloom,
sometimes where Eden's bowers bloom,
by waters still, o'er troubled sea,
still 'tis his hand that leadeth me.
(Refrain)
Lord, I would place my hand in thine,
nor ever murmur nor repine;
content, whatever lot I see,
since 'tis my God that leadeth me.
(Refrain)
And when my task on earth is done,
when by thy grace the victory's won,
e'en death's cold wave I will not flee,
since God through Jordan leadeth me.
(Refrain)
Perfect words to accompany your beautiful photos and Scriptures.
GOD BLESS!
Thanks, Sharon... this is one of my favorite old hymns...and the Martins (video on the post) sing it better than anyone I've ever heard. I thought it went to well with the fog photos. Blessings back to you!
DeleteHe is the ONLY Leader. And when it's foggy or cloudy or dark and we can't see where we're to walk/drive/go, we can rely only on Him, not on ourselves. Good reminder, good sharer.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
Amen, Cary Jo :)
DeleteYour photos are absolutely breathtaking and oh so inspiring, Debby. Bless you for sharing them!

DeleteOh Debbie,
ReplyDeleteWhat amazing photos. So good to know that Jesus is leading us.
Laura
Thank you...and yes, if He didn't lead me, I would be lost :)
DeleteHello Debby, I can sense His leading day by day. The night season has taught me to trust when it is dark, for with Him there is not even a shadow. Let me know when you get that new camera :)
ReplyDeleteI still think about using your photos often, just feel like we need to know one another longer LOL
Our pictures I believe are a gift from the Lord and should be shared, but golly once we get famous....
Love Your Post!
Shalom, Roxy
Roxy...you (we) may be waiting a while on that camera...but thank you for appreciating my photos! I think I might miss my little point 'n shoot though :) Thank you for encouraging me!
DeleteHi Debby,
ReplyDeleteJust stopping by for a visit today, and I am so glad that I did.
What BEAUTIFUL photographs. I love the Gaithers, too.
Did you snap those shots? You have a great eye.
xoxo.
Mary
Hello Mary!
DeleteThank you for visiting and the sweet comments! I took the photos last Saturday morning...we had a dense fog and it made for some pretty great shots. The first thing I thought of was how the Lord lead us through those times when we can't see what's up ahead. We had been in the midst of a serious family crisis... just hours before...and then this fog was almost like a gift from God reminding me that He was there, guiding us through! I love it when that happens.
I enjoy your posts very much also! Have a blessed weekend!
Oh, I am in love with those fog photos!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Elizabeth :)
DeleteBeautiful post! Thanks so much for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Deb
Gorgeous photos and the scriptures fit perfectly! Thanks for sharing with SYC.
ReplyDeletehugs,
Jann
Thanks, Jann...also for the opprotunity to do so :)
DeleteDebby, you have gift for matching images with words. You've outdone yourself in this post. I LOVE the photos of the way made clear even in the fog. And I love "He Leadeth Me"--one of my favorites! I'm a leader in a small church plant. We meet in a school gym, and most of our members are young people. Despite our mundane surroundings, we have great music. We sing a good number of contemporary songs, but we also love the old hymns, and this is one of our favorites! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for linking this to Grace at Home. I'm featuring you in this week's party!
I am honored and humbled...thank you so much and providing the opportunity to share :)
