I had an experience today I'll not soon forget.
The hubby and I went to see a movie...
...not just any movie
We went to see "God's Not Dead".
(click on link for preview)
Never have I worshiped in a movie theater...
...until today.
I don't want to give anything away for those of you who haven't seen it.
I am still reeling from it actually.
I have that drained feeling...or you may call it spent...
...you know, like how you feel after you have cried a million tears.
Tears of sadness, yet tears of joy.
How blessed I am at this very moment...
...believing with every fiber of my being that there is a God who loves me.
That He will never leave me...or forsake me.
My heart breaks for those who choose not to believe.
Please join me in praying for those lost souls.
Many of them, we don't know...some of them, we do.
The Lord is not slow to keep his promise. He is not slow in the way some people understand it.
He is patient with you. He doesn't want anyone to be destroyed.
Instead, he wants all people to turn away from their sins. ~2 Peter 3:9
So, if you haven't yet seen this movie, I highly recommend it.
You will laugh. You will cry (a lot). You will worship.
Love to all,
I have got to go. The youth from our church went to see it and are raving still about it. I hope it is still playing next weekend. I don't want to miss it.
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen the movie - actually haven't been to see any movie in I don't know how many years. I just can NOT sit still that long...and I don't like the crowds. I know, it's sad and heart-breaking, the number of people who don't know that there is a God who loves them...I will be praying. Glad you enjoyed the movie.

This is a real teaser of a post Debby. I'll have to keep an eye out for it coming my way - either at the theatre or at the video store.

You've definitely whet my appetite and curiosity. Sounds like a good one.
ReplyDeleteglad you were moved by it.
ReplyDeleteIt was good to hear about it first hand. We were just talking today about seeing it.
ReplyDeleteHi Debby! I have heard so many people say they enjoyed this movie, but this is the first time I've heard the word 'worship' used. Wow. I have not seen it yet, but plan to, so thank you for not giving away any part of the plot.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad that God used this movie to touch you so deeply. I hope he does the same for me!
Have a good evening :)

It's so nice to hear a wonderful response to this movie. I don't think it's come to our city yet. We aren't movie goers, not even for decent or Christian movies, just because we don't have the time I guess, but I'd love to see this one at some point. Thank you for sharing your opinion of it and of the need for salvation for so many. Blessings. Pam
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great movie. I liked when you said you"worshipped" during the movie, it must have been something else for you to feel that.
ReplyDeletePraise the Lord!
I have heard this reaction from so many people. I have to go before it goes away....thank you for sharing! It is a smaller production movie and we should get out there and see it to give it the support it deserves.-aimee
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen it yet and waiting for it to show in my area. But have heard only wonderful things about it. Thanks for sharing

ReplyDeleteDear Debby, Please allow me to try this again! I am so silly it must be a Monday. Firstly this movie was great!! Well done and did bless us greatly. When I left my last comment which I deleted was from an impression I felt that was given from the Movie Heaven Is Real!
ReplyDeleteSorry my mistake, Blessings, Roxy
I'd love to see this movie! I hope it moves many people into making a decision for Christ.
ReplyDeleteNow you make me want to see that movie! Anything that will cause people to stop, think, and consider how they can think it all 'just happened.' Such a joy to know that there is a Master Designer who not only made it all, made it work together, but that He cares enough to provide the only way for the salvation of sinful, rebellious humanity.
ReplyDeleteooo, i can't wait to see it....thanks for the high recommendation.
ReplyDeletexoxo
I have read so many good reviews of this movie !! :)
