These fences have been around for a long time.
They are on the country road that leads to the house where I grew up in Ohio.
I snapped these shots when we visited there about a month ago .
There's nothing particularly unique about them.
It's just that they give me a warm, familiar feeling that I like to remember.
And I'd like to share them today on Theresa's Good Fences...
...because to me, they are good fences!
~
Happy Friday, everyone!
Good Morning, Debby! Lovely rural scenes from your Ohio visit. I love the fences with the Queen Anne's lace. Wonderful series of images. Happy Friday, enjoy your weekend!

Good Morning, Debby! Oh did I ever enjoy this post with the country fencing and just the atmosphere surrounding them. Your photos are so fantastic that you feel as if you are right there in the midst of it all.
ReplyDeleteI could see myself lying in the field looking up at the clouds and finding shapes in those clouds with my grandmother right beside me. :)
Beautiful post!
Joy to you! Debbie
My favorite photo is the one with the red tractor. I see red tractors and red barns all over this area. Did you take a photography class or did you teach yourself? You are amazing! I can't wait for us to do lunch sometime.

Beautiful old fences, and your pictures are lovely. Love to see the Queen Anne's Lace next to the old weathered wood. xo, Deborah
ReplyDeleteThose old fences have a lot of character and evoke warm memories of times past. Very mellow photos. Lovely.
ReplyDeleteHi Debby! I'm sure looking at them reminds you of home too. Sometimes a fence isn't really a fence, it's more about what it symbolizes.
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful skies in your photos too!

Playing a little "catch-up" on commenting here. - Loved your pretty fence shots. They were all just wonderful. I especially liked 4, 5 & 6.
ReplyDeleteVery nice photos. I like country fences too, sometimes even barbed wire if it's picturesque. :-) I like the Queen Anne's lace as well. Fond memories for me. I miss that here. I haven't seen it in Central Texas so far. I'm guessing they might have it in eastern Texas where there's more rain.
